Defying the odds with Design Build

Open Concept Kitchen We started an open concept kitchen renovation in Norton, MA this week. We're re-configuring the 1st floor of a Colonial home, to increase kitchen cabinet storage and improve the flow for a family of four with two growing teenagers. Our in-house design team worked closely with the homeowners, designing the space so they could visualize the renovation before it started and offer feedback. The Owners also really wanted a kitchen island but were told by multiple other sources that it couldn't happen because they didn't have enough space. Our in-house design team not only found the space for an island, but found more than enough room to create an open concept floor plan at the same time. This is the approved 3D Rendering design. What about the load bearing wall? As designers and builders, our team of talented craftsman offer professional and safe opinions on how

Kitchen renovation for an avid hostess

2020-03-17T16:42:27-04:00

It's often referred to as "the hub of the home," "the gathering place," "a major selling point." It is without a doubt, the kitchen can be the heart and soul of a home. This Sharon, MA kitchen renovation exemplifies all that and more. As professional kitchen contractors, we were thrilled to partner with this family, refreshing their space, ready to welcome guests for all celebrations. It was evident from our initial consultation meeting, just how important hosting is for this family. From graduation parties to annual holiday gatherings, this home is meant to welcome loved ones. This initial meeting is critical for our team. Whether producing the design through our Design Build process or working with a fellow trade professional as in this case, we did with Design by Melanie. The vision is created, presented and approved at the design meetings. We always recommend an approximate

What your bathroom may look like in the 1700s had there been indoor plumbing

2020-03-29T15:52:19-04:00

What if there was indoor plumbing in 1740? Well, we pretended there was when we accepted the challenge to renovate an existing Ashland, MA bathroom, but with a nod to the home's historic roots. Although the 18th Century farmhouse had been updated with a bathroom addition decades ago, the current bathroom was outdated and poorly laid out. Working with homeowners passionate about restoring their property to its original glory, we saw this as a unique challenge to create a "what if" kind of space. From the handmade wainscoting and cabinetry, made right in our own workshop, to the restored chandelier the Owners found in the attic and the re-use of the original vanity top and mirror, you may just think the space had always been there…even before it could’ve been!

Master Bathroom Retreat – Norfolk, MA

2020-03-29T15:58:20-04:00

This Master Bathroom in Norfolk received a complete gut, expansion and renovation. Through our Design Build process these homeowners worked with in-house designer Jason Hoffman to create their dream master bathroom retreat. When designing, Jason was able to offer ideas on how to gain square footage, ultimately adding a walk-in shower. Complete with a custom double vanity built by G.B. Woodworking (Norwood) and beautiful tile work by Marshall Tile & Marble Company, this has been one of our favorite transformations to date. See the before and after photos below as well as some 3D renderings approved by the homeowners prior to construction. Our team both designs the renovation AND performs the work. Our talented carpentry crew and trusted subcontractors perfectly executed a design on paper to a well laid out, oasis retreat. Project Details PROJECT LOCATION Norfolk, MA Project Gallery
