LEAD CARPENTER

Our Lead Carpenter is someone familiar and experienced in all facets of the building industry AND is the project’s onsite manager. This person is well organized, considerate and efficient. This person is passionate about their trade AND assisting homeowners through the renovation process. This person is a talented carpenter, problem solver and critical thinker.

THE POSITION
The Lead Carpenter is responsible for following the Lead Carpenter Production system. Managing and producing projects on time and on budget, while providing excellent communication and customer service. This position requires that you perform finish carpentry on the job while supervising and managing/servicing the subcontractors and customer. The ideal candidate is someone always looking to hone their craft in an efficient manner. This person is passionate about being a tradesperson and always conducts themselves with integrity, honesty, fairness and professionalism. The right person is a team player with a willing attitude to learn from those before them and a confident leader to inspire and teach those around them.

We’re searching for a seasoned carpenter or an existing Lead Carpenter currently employed with another firm, who is looking for a growth opportunity with a reputable and stable company.

Experience in the NARI or NAHB Lead Carpenter System is acceptable.

The individual we seek is responsible, mature, clean cut, has 7 or more years remodeling experience, has a valid driver’s license with truck and tools, has a great can do attitude and most of all is a team player. We offer competitive compensation for the right individual based upon experience and credentials.

UNIQUE ABILITIES PROVIDED BY YOU
• Follow direction, can work from building plans and blueprints and meet the needs of our clients
• Will learn and adhere to our company policies and procedures.
• Can meet or exceed expectations running projects on budget and completing on schedule
• Layout and install stairs, doors, windows, trim cabinets, kitchens and baths.
• Measure cut, or shape wood, composite, fiberglass, drywall and other materials
• Construct building frameworks including walls, joists, and frames
• Inspect and replace damaged framework and adjacent structures
• Ability to diagnose and remedy older structures in need of repair or renovation
• Works safely at all times and wear company provided safety gear as required
• Maintain and complete any and all company required paperwork related to the project
• Instruct and direct laborers and subcontractors as needed
• Computer literate and proficient with Excel, Word and Email
• Can run multiple jobs simultaneously while maintaining budgets and schedules
• Has excellent communication skills and works well with homeowners in the high-end remodeling market
• Has clean and presentable appearance

Our carpentry team is growing! We are seeking a dedicated carpenter, committed to producing a quality experience for our clients with excellent customer service, superior products and fine craftsmanship. We focus on residential remodels such as: kitchen and bathroom remodels, additions, basement refinishing and interior footprint reconfiguration.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITY
To execute profitable production activities, as assigned by the Production Manager or Lead Carpenter, that support the goals of the company. An ideal candidate would have 3-5+ years’ experience and would be looking for a long-term position with a growing and reputable company. The ideal candidate is someone looking to hone their craft in an efficient manner. This person is passionate about being a tradesperson and is always conducts themselves with integrity, honesty, fairness and professionalism. The right person is a team player with a willing attitude to learn from those before them and a confident leader to inspire and teach those around them.

JOB ACTIVITIES
• Insure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship and polite communication
• Daily, inform the Production Manager or Lead Carpenter of the progress of the project, including any customer concerns, problems, delays etc…
• Comprehend and execute tasks in precise and timely manner
• Create and maintain positive, clean working environment for employees and clients
• Seek additional responsibility and guidance from company management as needed to enhance existing skills, learn new skills and create potential advancement within the company

QUALIFICTIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 3-5 years of site experience preferred – management experience a plus
• Framing experience a plus
• Custom carpentry
• Interior and exterior remodeling including window and door replacements
• Deck construction
• Painting experience a plus
• Cabinet installation
• Flooring installation
