Timeless Mudroom and Laundry Room

This timeless mudroom and laundry room was part of a larger first-floor renovation, where the kitchen and dining room took center stage. Yet, this hardworking space proved to be just as important. As the family’s everyday entry from the garage, the original room served double duty as both a mudroom and laundry area, leaving it feeling cramped and disorganized. By removing the wall between the mudroom and an unused office behind it, we not only created a stronger connection between the front and back of the home, but also gained the space needed for custom lockers, abundant storage, and a laundry area with room to spread out. Today, this beautifully organized space provides a welcoming place to unload backpacks, sports gear, and the day’s activities while keeping everything neatly tucked away and within reach.
