Post & Beam Kitchen Addition

An addition to a reproduction Cape New England home, this kitchen makeover was designed and built to look like it had always been there. The existing home had reclaimed wood beams. Our carpentry team was tasked with reproducing the existing beams to be added to the new space. Master Carpenter Jason Hoffman created the new “old” beams in his workshop using the same tools and techniques a 19th century craftsman would have used.

Fun challenge: can you spot the hidden dishwasher? The homeowners wanted to hid the dishwasher and match the unit’s cabinetry to the rest of the kitchen. We love this feature and highly recommend when designing your new kitchen.
