Fireplace Redesign with Custom Mantle

This living room renovation was part of a larger, cohesive first-floor transformation that also included a fully reimagined kitchen and mudroom, all designed to function together as one connected and intentional main level.

In its original state, the space still carried strong 1990s character, and the fireplace surround and mantle were no exception. They felt dated and disconnected from the overall potential of the room, and were ready for a design that would give them a stronger presence in the space.

To bring the room forward, we updated the windows, painted the entire interior, and improved flow to better support furniture and everyday use. The centerpiece became a fully rebuilt fireplace, now given a stronger presence in the room and finished with natural slate tile and a custom mantle crafted by our team. The result is a warm, elevated living space that feels intentional, balanced, and seamlessly tied into the rest of the home’s first-floor renovation.
